AVESCO traces its origin back to 1948 when its founder the late Don Jose Tangcongkong established a store named Avenue Electrical Supply in Avevida, Rizal with only 10 employees. The dedication and business foresight of its founder served as a springboard for the metamorphosis of AVESCO Marketing Corporation in 1964. the main office is presently housed in a four storey building, with a lot area of 1000 sq. meter and about 500 employees under its helm. The company is engaged in importation, wholesaling, indenting, tendering and retailing. As it assumed a new identity, its product dimensions likewise expanded and diversified.

In 1972, there was challenge to grow amidst an arena of emerging competitors. AVESCO's continuous search for technological breakthroughs in a rapidly developing country paved the way for its involvement in government projects. The Company started participating in tenders funded by international lending institutions such as the World Bank, IBRD, ADB, OECD and KFW among others.
